About the Event
Members of Wisconsin Partners organizations are invited to weigh in at the second conversation in our 2023 series on Connection. Through this series, we hope to explore the value of all kinds of human connection - how do we address isolation and polarization? How can we amplify voices of lived experience, and what are the best strategies for effective, meaningful community engagement? What does Connection have to do with the workplace, with intergenerational learning, or with our neighbors?
Stephanie Harrison (Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association) will spotlight an example from Pelican Rapids, Minnesota - a town that brought long-term residents and incoming refugees together over soccer - and launch a broader conversation about bridging divides in rural communities. And we want to hear from you, too. This will be an interactive discussion, with voices from a range of sectors, perspectives, and communities.
