About the Event
Wisconsin Partners is a coalition of statewide associations that was born out of a period of conflict and transition almost ten years ago. We recognized the need to bring partners together across a wide range of sectors, to build relationships before we needed them, and to go beyond quick fixes towards bold, effective change.
Traditionally, we have convened Executive Directors of these associations - but we recognize the need to go deeper across associations, creating opportunities to connect more thoroughly across sectors. This June, we are hosting three virtual gatherings, with the aim of:
- Providing a brief introduction to the work and model of Wisconsin Partners
- Creating space for staff in similar positions to build relationships directly with one another
- Facilitating brainstorming around opportunities for ongoing collaboration
This gathering (June 9, 12:30-2pm) is designed for association staff working on policy agendas, political advocacy, lobbying, and other governmental engagement. There will be opportunities to share your association's priorities, connect around common challenges, and share successful strategies. Wisconsin Partners associations have already signed on to support each other's letters and proposals - and we're excited and curious to find out what else can be possible.
